CrossWinds Community Church Exists to…

“Love God and represent Jesus with the whole of our lives by loving and serving people.”

Vision Statement:

“Through the renewing power of the Holy Spirit, prepare and mobilize ourselves to live out the Good News of Jesus in every area of our lives, promoting spiritual, relational, and human flourishing in the Stillwater area and beyond.”

Core Values: CrossWinds Community Church lives out our mission and vision through our Core Values. At the heart of that is a passion to be a whole life disciple-making church that finds its expression in both the church and on the frontlines of our lives. The following statements reflect that:

Be—We “be” before we “do” by worshiping and loving God first and foremost. (Psalm 46:10)

o People are created to know God and live as bearers of his image. (Gen. 1:27)

o As followers of Jesus, the whole of our lives is an offering of worship to God. (Romans 12:1-20)

Befriend—We engage people with real life connections on our frontline (Matt. 28:18-20; Col. 3:23-24)

o We are passionate about sharing the joy of knowing Jesus with others. (Matt. 22:39; Eph. 4:15)

o We are committed to using the whole of our lives to represent Jesus and God’s truth to influence our local culture. (Matt. 5:13-16)

Begin—We equip others to begin their spiritual journey (Ro. 10:14-17)

o Faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is the only way to begin a true spiritual life. (Jn. 14:6; Rom 5:11)

o The Bible is God's message and absolute truth written for people to receive at their level of understanding and enlightened by the Holy Spirit. (2 Tim. 3:18)

o Prayer permeates the whole of our lives and releases God’s power. (1 Thess. 5:17; Col. 1:11)

Belong—We invite others to belong and take ownership of the church (Eph. 4:11-12)

o As representatives of Jesus, we demonstrate care to the whole person (spiritual, emotional, physical, relational) (Luke 6:36; 1 John 3:16-18)

o Our love and commitment to one another keeps us united in purpose and mission. (Eph. 4:1-6)

o Smaller groups of Christ-followers meeting together regularly promote spiritual and relational growth. (Acts 2:42-46)

Become—We have the mission of multiplying whole life followers of Jesus. (Mt. 28:19-20)

o Our faith in Jesus is intended to be lived out wherever we are and in whatever we do. (Acts 1:8)

o We are committed to spiritual growth in Jesus and devotion to His work in the world. (1 Pe. 2:2)

o The practice of generosity in our faith community and on our frontline demonstrates Christian character. (Luke 6:38)

o As followers of Jesus we have God-given gifts used to serve and strengthen the church and further his work in the world. (1 Cor. 12)
